Directions for Adding your buddy icon:

1. Right click on the image that you want as your Buddy Icon.
2.Select "Save As..." or "Save Picture As..." depending on your browser.
3.Select a filename and a folder and save the picture there. *Remember this location*
4.Open up AOL Instant Messenger and select the People menu on the Buddy List window.
5.Click Select Buddy Icon. The AOL Instant Messenger (SM) Preferences window appears on your screen with Buddy Icons selected in the Category group. To select a buddy icon for yourself, click My Buddy Icon in the Images to use for buddies group.
6.Choose Browse PC to go to the location of the image file chosen in step 3 and select the image that you want to use. Click OK.
Directions for Adding your wallpaper:

PC
1.Click on the image-size link above that fits your monitor's screen resolution.
2.Right click on the image, and then choose the Set as Wallpaper option.
3.From the Start Menu, choose Settings and then Control Panel.
4.Double-click the Display icon.
5.Click on the Background tab, and then choose your settings and click OK.

Macintosh
1.Click on the image-size link above that fits your monitor's screen resolution.
2.Click on the image and hold until you get a pop-up menu. Choose Download Image to Disk and save the file to your hard drive. Remember where you saved it.
3.From the Apple Menu, select Control Panel: Appearance, and click on the Desktop tab.
4.Click on Remove Picture (only if there is one). Then click Place Picture and navigate to the saved image.
5.Choose Position Automatically from the pull-down menu and then click on the Set Desktop button.
